Being able to be a part of a bride's wedding day is genuinely such an honor and something we do not take for granted! Wedding planning can be stressful enough and we are here to help answer any and all questions you may have. Here you will find some of the most commonly asked questions we receive from new inquiries. HOW TO HOLD MY DATE AND IS THERE A RETAINER?
Wedding dates are not guaranteed until a retainer and contract has been obtained. We strongly encourage submitting your retainer and contract ASAP to guarantee your wedding date.
DO YOU OFFER BRIDAL HAIR SERVICES AS WELL?
CK Beauty is a makeup artistry focused company that does not offer bridal hair services. However, we are partnered with various luxury bridal hairstylists in the Kansas City area that we would love to get you scheduled with! Please make a note on your inquiry form if you are still searching for hair services, and we can make sure to get you connected with some amazing stylists!
DO YOU OFFER AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?
We do not offer airbrush makeup services. With our professional experience, we have found that we are able to better achieve and customize clients desired looks with a traditional foundation. We take pride in our knowledge of assessing each individual client's skin and in return creating a tailored look.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY MAKEUP TRIAL?
The trial is a chance for us to connect while you have the opportunity to ask any and all questions that you may have.
Inspiration pictures are always a must! Not only to show looks that you love and hope to recreate that can be tailored to your skin type, tone, face shape, eye shape, dress, and accessories. But this also allows us to discuss something just as important….things you dislike. This way, we know what to avoid to have you feeling like the best version of yourself!
ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE KANSAS CITY AREA?
Yes! Prices for makeup services stay the same as local events. However, additional travel fees will be added for events outside of the greater Kansas City area (in or out of state). Please submit an inquiry form for more information on your specific location.
IS THERE A TRAVEL FEE?
Yes, there is a flat travel fee for all weddings. Travel fees are assessed at the time of inquiry.
WHY DO WE CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?
Our travel fee covers much more than the drive to you venue/location. When we travel on location, we're essentially bringing our entire studio with us to create the same luxury experience you would receive in our studio.
Our travel fee helps cover:
Travel Time to and from your getting-ready location.
Loading and unloading our professional makeup kits, chairs, lighting, and sanitation supplies.
Setup and breakdown time, ensuring each artist has a clean, organized, and fully equipped workstation before services begin. Setup and breakdown is usually a mininum of 30 minutes combined.
Packing and restocking after your wedding day so our travel kits are ready for the next client. The convenience of having our professional team come directly to you, allowing you and your bridal party to relax and enjoy your morning without the stress of traveling.
Vehicle expenses, including fuel, maintenance, wear and tear, and mileage.
Our goal is to provide a seamless, elevated, and stress-free experience from the moment we arrive until the final touch-up is complete. The travel fee allows us to maintain that level of service while covering the additional time and resources required for on-location weddings.
